⚠️ Important
A factory reset only works if your frame is unpaired from your Nixplay account first.
1️⃣ Unpair Your Frame
Using the Nixplay Website
Go to www.nixplay.com and log in.
Click Picture Frames and select your frame.
Scroll down and click Remove Photo Frame (bottom right).
Enter your account password to confirm.
Using the Mobile App
Open the Nixplay app.
Tap Photo Frames at the bottom.
Tap Settings (top right).
Scroll down and tap the red Unpair button.
Enter your account password and tap Unpair again to confirm.
2️⃣ Reset the Frame to Factory Settings
Have a paper clip ready.
Unplug the frame’s AC adapter.
-
Insert the paper clip into the small reset hole and press the reset button.
Do not use a large paper clip, as it may damage the switch.
While holding the reset button, plug the AC adapter back in.
-
Release the reset button when:
You see a blue progress bar inside a red rectangle on the screen (some frames show a clock and gears instead).
Be patient – the reset takes a few minutes. The blue loading bar may appear to stall halfway; this is normal.
3️⃣ Reconnect Your Frame
After reset, connect the frame to Wi-Fi.
The serial number will appear on the screen.
Log in to your Nixplay account.
Go to Photo Frames → Pair New Photo Frame.
Enter the 16-digit serial number displayed on the frame.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the web or mobile app to complete pairing.
✅ After these steps, your Nixplay frame will be fully reset and ready to use with a fresh setup.
