The Apolosign Portable TV supports two types of voice control:
remote-based voice commands and Google Assistant / Gemini voice control.You can use voice to control system functions and compatible apps, either by pressing the voice button on the remote or by using hands-free voice with Gemini.
1. Using Voice Control with the Remote
How it works:
You can issue voice commands by speaking into the Bluetooth remote.
Steps:
1. Press and hold the Voice button on the remote control
2. Keep holding the button and speak your command
3. Release the button after finishing the command
📌 Notes:
Make sure you finish speaking before releasing the voice button
For best results, use voice control in a quiet environment
2. Enabling Google Assistant / Gemini Voice Control
To use Google Assistant or Gemini voice control, please complete the following setup steps first.
Once enabled, you can activate voice control by saying “Hey Google”.
2.1Enable Microphone Permission
Path:
Settings → Security & Privacy → Privacy Controls
Steps:
Open Settings
Go to Security & Privacy
Select Privacy Controls
Locate Microphone
Make sure microphone permission is enabled
2.2Enable Hands-Free Voice with Gemini
Path:
Settings → Search “Gemini” → Gemini Settings
Steps:
Open Settings
Use the search bar to search for Gemini
Open Gemini Settings
Enable Hands-free with Gemini
💡 Tip:
Once enabled, you can wake up Gemini using voice commands without pressing the remote button.
3. App Compatibility Limitations (Important)
Please note that Google Assistant / Gemini voice control does not work with all apps.
Voice control is supported only for:
- ● Google-supported apps
- ● Third-party apps that have integrated the Google Assistant / Gemini API
Some commonly used apps (such as Spotify, Baby Monitor, Prism Live, TinyCam, Wyze, etc.) may:
- ● Not support Google Assistant at all
- ● Only support voice control on Google Nest devices or mobile phones
As a result, even if Google Assistant / Gemini is enabled,
some apps may not be launched or controlled by voice on third-party Android devices such as Apolosign Portable TV.
📌 This is an app compatibility limitation, not a device issue.
