Parental Controls help you manage how your child uses the Portable TV by setting screen time limits, controlling available apps, and reviewing usage activity. This feature is designed to encourage healthy viewing habits while giving parents full control.
Enable and Set Up Parental Controls
1. On the Portable TV home screen, open Parental Controls.
2. Sign in using a parent account (phone number or email address).
3. Create a 4-digit PIN. This PIN is required to manage or unlock Parental Control settings.
4. After setup, Parental Controls will be activated on the device.
Note: Only the parent account can change the PIN, time limits, or app permissions.
Manage App Access
You can decide which apps your child is allowed to use.
1. Go to Parental Controls > Manage Apps.
2. View the list of installed apps.
3. Toggle apps On (available) or Off (restricted) as needed.
4. Restricted apps will not be accessible without the parent PIN.
This allows you to block specific apps while keeping educational or approved apps available.
Set Daily Usage Time (Total Time)
Limit how long the device can be used each day.
1. Open Parental Controls > Control Time.
2. Select Total Time.
3. Choose a preset option (e.g., 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours) or select User Defined.
4. Apply the limit by day or by week.
Once the daily limit is reached, the device will be locked until the next available period or until extended by a parent.
Set Available Time Periods
Control when the Portable TV can be used.
1. Go to Parental Controls > Available Periods.
2. Enable Available Time Period Control.
3. Set the allowed time range (for example, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
4. Choose to apply the schedule by day or by week.
Outside the allowed time period, the device will be unavailable.
Extend Usage Time Temporarily
If you want to allow extra time for the current day:
1. Open Parental Controls > Extend Time.
2. Select an extension option (5 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, or until tomorrow).
3. Enter the parent PIN to confirm.
After the extended time ends, the original limits will automatically resume.
View Usage Reports
You can monitor how the device is being used.
● Device Usage Duration: View daily usage time in a chart.
● App Usage Information: See how long each app has been used (Today or last 7 days).
This helps parents understand usage habits and adjust limits if necessary.
Change or Recover Your PIN
If you have forgotten the password/PIN you set in the Parental Controls app, or if you simply want to update it, please follow these steps:
● To Change Your Password:
Go to Parental Controls > Settings, and select Change Password to update your PIN.
● To Recover a Forgotten Password:
If you have forgotten your password, select Retrieve Password on the screen and follow the on-screen instructions to reset or verify your identity.
