Step 1: Disable the Screen Lock
Go to Settings → Security & Privacy → Device Unlock → Screen Lock
Set the screen lock to None
Step 2: Sign Out of Your Google Account
Open Settings → Accounts → Google
Select your account and Sign out
Step 3: Perform the Reset
Option 1: Reset via Settings
Go to Settings → System → Reset
Tap Factory Data Reset
Confirm and follow the on-screen instructions
Option 2: Reset Using Physical Buttons (if device is unresponsive)
Power off the device
Press and hold the Power + Volume Up buttons simultaneously
When the logo appears, release the buttons
Use the volume buttons to navigate to Factory Reset / Wipe Data, then press the power button to confirm
