The Calendars section on Apolosign allows you to seamlessly manage schedules, coordinate family activities, and sync external calendars. This guide covers the core features of creating, editing, and viewing events across your mobile app and hardware device.
1. Creating and Managing Events
You can easily manage your schedules directly through the Apolosign mobile app:
How to Create an Event:
Tap the "+" (add) button at the bottom right of the calendar screen to open the event creation menu.
Note: You cannot create an event by directly tapping a date on the calendar grid; you must use the "+" button to add a new event.
Editing an Existing Event:
Tap on any existing event on your calendar to open its details popup, then tap the Edit (pencil) icon in the top right corner.
Key Event Settings:
Title & Time: Add an event title, toggle All day, or set specific start and end times.
Repeat Rules: Choose from standard intervals (Every day, Every week, Every month, Every year, or Does not repeat), or select Custom to define exact frequency and end conditions.
Select Members: Assign specific family members to the event.
Understanding Colors (Highlight vs. Background):
Highlight: The highlight color you select determines the border color of the event display.
Background Color: The background color of the event automatically defaults to the assigned family member's preset color.
Location & Description: Add a physical location or detailed notes.
Calendar Source: Choose which calendar the event belongs to (such as your Group Calendar, synced Google Calendar, or iCloud calendar).
2. Switching Calendar Views
You can customize how your schedules are displayed by tapping the view selector at the top of the app (e.g., Month):
Choose from Schedule, Family View, Day, Week, or Month views depending on your planning needs.
3. Viewing and Managing Calendars on Your Device
Your calendar events and settings sync automatically to your Apolosign hardware device:
Device-Side Display: View your master household schedule, check member-specific routines, and stay coordinated right from your device's home screen.
Display Toggles: Open the settings panel on your device to manage visible calendar sources and family member visibility preferences.
