How to Manage and Use Stickies on the Apolosign Calendar

Stickies is an interactive note-sharing and reminder feature designed for family members. You can send text notes, photos, or Target Time/Countdown anytime, which will be displayed on the Home screen card widget across both the display and the mobile app.

Important Rules & Carousel Logic

  • Quantity Limit: You can keep up to 10 active stickies at a time. If you reach this limit, you must archive or delete older stickies before creating new ones.

  • Pinning Function: Pinned notes show a red Pin tag. Pinning only affects sorting order, placing pinned notes at the front of the list.

  • Home Screen Widget Auto-Carousel:

    • When there are 2 or more cards, the Home screen card widget automatically rotates every 5 minutes (including both pinned and unpinned cards).

    • If there is only 1 card, it will not rotate.

    • Manually switching/swiping cards resets the 5-minute timer.

Viewing Stickies

  • Home Screen Widget: The Stickies card widget displays your notes (rotates every 5 minutes if there are multiple cards).

  • Stickies App: Tap the Home screen widget or open the Stickies app to view all active stickies.

Creating a Sticky

  1. In the Stickies app, tap the blue + button in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Tap the type icon on the right to select your sticky type (Text, Emoji, Image, Target Time/Countdown).

    Note: The display device only supports uploading local images from storage; camera/taking photo is not supported on the device.

  3. Tap the color palette icon on the right to select background color. You can also use "Remove Background with AI" at the bottom.

  4. Tap Save in the top-right corner to post.

Managing Stickies (Pin / Edit / Archive)

  • Tap the ... (three dots) icon on the top-right corner of any sticky card:

    • Pin / Unpin: Pin or unpin the note (Pinned notes display a red Pin tag and appear at the top-left of the Stickies section.).

    • Edit: Modify the note content.

    • Archived: Move the note to the archive.

Viewing Archive & Deleting

  • Tap the Clock icon (history) in the top-right corner of the Stickies page to enter Archived Stickies.

  • Tap the ... icon on an archived note and select Delete to permanently remove it.

2. On the Mobile App

Viewing & Sending Stickies

  • Home Screen View: The top card widget on the App Home screen automatically syncs and displays stickies from your display.

  • Stickies List: Tap the Stickies icon in the top navigation bar to enter the All Messages page.

Creating a Sticky

  1. On the "All Messages" page, tap the blue + button in the bottom-right corner.

  2. Select sticky type. If choosing image type, select either Take photo or Gallery.

  3. Customize card color and optionally use "Remove Background".

  4. Tap Save in the top-right corner to send to the display.

Viewing Archive & Deleting

  • On the Stickies page in the app, tap the Clock icon in the top-right corner to enter Archived Messages.

  • Tap the ... icon on any card and select Delete to permanently delete it.
