If the on-screen keyboard doesn't appear on your Apolosign Digital Calendar and you can only use voice input, the Gboard keyboard app may be disabled or missing. Work through the steps below in order.
Step 1: Check the app list
First make sure the device is in Android Mode (Menu > Settings > Section > Mode Switch > Android Mode). Switching modes keeps all your schedules and data intact.
Then go to Settings > Apps and look for Gboard in the list.
- If you find it and it shows Disabled, tap it and select Enable — the keyboard will be restored.
Step 2: Reinstall the keyboard app (if Gboard is not in the list)
If you cannot find Gboard in your app list, the component might be missing:
- Since you cannot type on the screen right now, temporarily plug a standard computer mouse or a USB/Bluetooth keyboard into the device's USB port — this lets you navigate and type.
- Go to the Google Play Store (or use the browser to download the official APK) and search for Gboard (Google Keyboard).
- Download and install it. Once installed, it will automatically appear back on your On-screen keyboard settings page.
Step 3: Factory reset the device (last resort)
If the keyboard still doesn't appear after the steps above, perform a factory reset to restore the system. Please follow our official video guide:
If the issue persists after a factory reset, contact us at support@apolosign.com with your device model and a description of what happens on the screen.
