If you've synced your iCloud Calendar with your Apolosign device but find that events created on the physical device screen are not appearing on your iPhone's native Calendar app, there are two key settings you need to verify. This guide walks you through both.
Quick Overview
| Setting | One-Way Sync | Two-Way Sync |
| View iCloud events on Apolosign device | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Events created on device sync back to iPhone | ✗ No | ✓ Yes |
To achieve a successful two-way sync from your physical Apolosign device back to your native iPhone iCloud Calendar, please check the following two settings:
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Ensure "Two-Way Sync" Is Enabled
When you initially import or link your iCloud Calendar to the Apolosign device, you must select the Two-Way Sync option. If the sync was accidentally set to one-way, events created on the device will not push back to your iPhone.
⚠️ Common Issue: Many users select one-way sync by default because it's simpler (only requires a public calendar link, no app-specific password). However, one-way sync only allows you to view iCloud events on the Apolosign device — it does not allow events created on the device to sync back to your iPhone.
How to check and switch to two-way sync:
- Go to the Apolosign App → Calendar settings → find your linked iCloud Calendar.
- If it was set up as one-way sync, remove it and re-import using the Two-Way Sync option.
- Two-way sync requires your iCloud email address and an app-specific password (not your regular Apple ID password).

2. Select iCloud as the Source Calendar When Creating an Event
Even when two-way sync is correctly enabled, there is a second critical step: every time you create a new event directly on the physical Apolosign calendar screen, you must manually select your iCloud Calendar as the source (target) calendar for that event.
⚠️ Why This Matters: By default, new events created on the device may be saved under the device's local calendar rather than your synced iCloud Calendar. Events saved to the local calendar will not sync back to your iPhone — they only exist on the physical device.
How to select the correct source calendar:
- Tap to create a new event on the physical calendar screen.
- Before saving, look for the Calendar or Source Calendar field in the event creation interface.
- Tap on it and select your iCloud Calendar from the list (not the device's local calendar).
- Confirm your selection, then save the event.

✓ How to Verify It Worked: After creating an event with the iCloud Calendar selected as the source, open the Calendar app on your iPhone. The new event should appear within a few moments (depending on your network and iCloud sync speed). If it doesn't appear immediately, pull down to refresh your iPhone Calendar.
Summary Checklist
- Two-Way Sync is enabled (not one-way) for your iCloud Calendar link
- iCloud email and app-specific password are correctly entered
- When creating a new event on the device, iCloud Calendar is selected as the source calendar
- The event appears on your iPhone's native Calendar app after a few moments
Still Not Working?
If you've verified both settings above and events are still not syncing back to your iPhone, please try the following:
- Check your internet connection on both the Apolosign device and your iPhone.
- Refresh the iCloud Calendar on your iPhone by pulling down in the Calendar app.
- Remove and re-link the iCloud Calendar using two-way sync.
